Makerere University College of Natural Sciences offers a number of services to its students and staff
This office is headed by the College Registrar. The College Registrar is the chief coordinator of all matters pertaining to the academic organization of the college: examinations, research, postgraduate studies, syllabuses and is always the Secretary to college academic board and its committees. The Academic Registrar oversees admissions & records, examinations as well as staff development and ceremonies.
Finance Office is headed by the College Bursar. It has handles Student financial issues, welfare, Grants/Sponsered Projects, Income Generated at the college, Accounts, Expenditure and Payables, Reporting and Accountability; and Budget Monitoring at the college level in coordination University Finance Directorate
The College has a library with a collection of modern books and the college is strategically located near the Main University Library. CoNAS students as well uses with main University Library
The College Human Resources Office is headed by the Principal Human Resource Officer who initiates, develops and implements Human Resource systems and processes in line with the Human Resources policy and consistent with the University Strategic plan.
There are number of recreation and sports activities at the University. The Department of Sports and Recreation offers welfare and sports skills services to the students through a comprehensive, dynamic and exciting Inter-Hall Sports Championships scheduled to take place during the First Semester of the each academic year.
The Counselling and Guidance Centre is here to help you address personal or emotional challenges that may affect you while studying or working in Makerere University. The Counselling and Guidance Centre works closely with all university units to enable students realize their academic and personal potential and to assist staff in addressing psychological issues that may affect them in living worthy and productive lives.
Makerere University is home to a fully fledged Police Station with officers of the Uganda Police Force who regularly patrol the campus. The Police Officers work closely with Campus Security personnel to maintain law and order as well as man security checks at the campus and building entrances.
The Office
The Chief Security Officer, who reports to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration), is the overall in-charge of Campus security. He is assisted by the OC Station Makerere University Police as well as other Deputies.
Communication Services (Public Relations Services)
The Office oversees and coordinates all internal and external communications for the College’s various audiences in liaison with the University Public Relation Office. It works to raise awareness and understanding of the College programmes and projects through various communication tools including mainstream mass media, website, print, image, and interpersonal channels.
Also the Office of Communications serves as the primary information resource for the College
