Short Biography

Anywar Godwin holds a PhD as a CARTA/DAAD fellow from Makerere University which he partly pursued at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology, and the Institute for Virology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Leipzig, Germany and. He is a lecturer at Makerere University and a fellow of the: Global Young Academy, African Studies Association, Africa Science Leadership Programme and Uganda National Academy of Sciences. He is a member of several professional bodies, and winner of several international and local awards. He serves on the editorial boards of several international journals and has published over 100 papers. He is also a Research Associate at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, Hamburg, Germany in the Ethnopharmacology and Zoopharmacognosy Research Group, the vice president of the Natural Products Network for Eastern & Central Africa, Uganda Chapter (NAPRECA) & the Vice President of the Uganda Textbook Academic & Non-Fiction Authors Association (UTANA).
