The workshop is being hosted by the Department of Mathematics at the College of Natural Sciences (CoNAS), Makerere University with 28 participants from the University of Rwanda, University of Dodoma (Tanzania), Strathmore University (Kenya), Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Kabale University, and Busitema University (Uganda). Trainers include Dr Giulia Gugiatti from the University of Edinburgh (UK), Dr Daniel Kaplan from UMass Boston (US), and Dr Francis Rota from the University of Glasgow (UK). The training was officially opened by the Principal of CoNAS, Prof. Winston Tumps Ireeta today morning (25th November 2024). Through the programme, 2 PhDs and 6 MSc have been supported across the partner institutions. Details to follow.
