The International Society of Ethnobiology (ISE), under whose auspices the congress is organized, is a global collaborative network of individuals and organizations working to preserve vital links between human societies and the natural world.

The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology is a government institution with a mission to provide effective and innovative leadership in the development, promotion and application of Science and Technology and its integration in sustainable national development.

The Buganda Kingdom with the mission to utilize culture to mobilize people to promote better standards of living with the core value centred on cultural growth as a foundation for social, political, and economic growth.
