International Day of Mathematics Marathon - 18th March 2018

The 14th of March was designated by UNESCO as the Pi Day (International Day of Mathematics). The Uganda Women in Mathematics together with the Department of Mathematics of Makerere University are organising the first ever marathon for Mathematics on the 18th March 2018 in celebration of Pi Day in Uganda. The theme of the marathon is 'Promoting Equal Access and Success in Mathematics Learning Environment'. Funds generated from the marathon will be utilised to provide support and training to Mathematics educators in primary and secondary schools in Uganda. You can get your kit from the Department of Mathematics at 20,000/=.
